Alongside Families exists to connect isolated families in the Carolinas to local church communities that champion family preservation and physical, spiritual, and emotional thriving.
We provide safe, loving homes where parents may voluntarily have their children cared for temporarily while seeking to restore stability in their lives.
We prevent children from unnecessarily entering foster care during a family crisis and wrap around families with a loving network of supportive relationships.

Our team of staff, partner churches, and volunteers have been serving in family preservation since 2017. We began our ministry in Charlotte, NC as a chapter of a national organization. In 2021, we became a separate nonprofit with the benefit of local governance and management of funds, and the ability to tailor our programs to the needs of our community.
We have many ways to get involved in the greater Charlotte, NC area and the greater Asheville, NC area!
