We are thrilled to have Vivian Richardson join our Charlotte staff team as our Church Engagement Coordinator! Vivian will oversee all church engagement, including supporting and equipping our partner churches and recruiting, training, and onboarding new partner churches. We're excited to have her on board to grow and strengthen our ministry!
Here's an introduction from Vivian to all of you in our Alongside Families family!
"Hello Friends of Alongside Families, I am Vivian a lifelong North Carolinian, having grown up in Shelby, and currently residing in Matthews, NC. I am mom to a son and four (4) wonderful grands!
I have had the opportunity to have several careers that include Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist, Corporate Coach and Trainer for a Fortune 200 company, and working for non-profits, all of which have afforded me the opportunity to travel the US and world for missions, studying, and leisure. My most recent position was with the Charlotte Dream Center as a Volunteer Coordinator.
I'm a critical thinker who excels at networking. My passion comes alive when I am among the marginalized to help them develop a better quality of life and find their greater place in life. Having been a single mom, I know the importance of having a tribe to support you. It is a Godsend for me to be a part of Alongside Families as their Church Engagement Coordinator. This brings me full circle to give back and share with single mom’s that they are not alone.
In my free time you will find me laughing, acting silly, enjoying time with family and friends, leading Bible studies, reading, and traveling.
I'm an active member of Iota Chapter of Chi Eta Phi Sorority where I serve as Chapter Chaplain and a member of the 2023 class of The Master's Program for Women. You will find me worshiping with my church family, New Beginnings Community Church in Matthews."
